‘Diaby’ close to leaving Villa to move to Al Ittihad for 55 million.

Moussa Diaby is reportedly close to leaving Aston Villa for a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad in a deal worth around €55m (£46.3m).

Diaby joined Villa from Bayer Leverkusen last summer for a club-record fee believed to be £51.9m.

However, he will only be at the club for a year. After the Villans were cleare to let the 25-year-old leave. Villa

have accepted a bid of €55m plus bonuses from Al Ittihad and the two clubs are

now working out the details. Diaby has also agreed a five-year contract with Al Ittihad, ยูฟ่าเบท with some fine details to be worked out.

Diaby joined Villa from Bayer Leverkusen for a club record, reportedly £51.9m, last summer but manager Unai Emery has decided to cash in on the France international.

It comes after the club re-signed Jaden Philogene from Hull, paying around £13.5m for the English wideman this month and they feel the academy graduate can make a big impact on his return.

Al Ittihad are in need of reinforcements after a disappointing season last term. They finished in fifth place despite signing big names like Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante.

Diaby made 38 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring six goals and providing eight assists.
